Easy to say, even easier to explain.....
Yeah, weird name...What was I thinking? Well... first off, the term "Honyocker" seems to have originated in the 1890's in Montana as a cattleman's name for the sodbuster who came with his plow to turn the vast western landscapes "Wrong side up."
For me, it was a term my father used to call my friends and me when we were little kids growing up in Helena, MT. As in... "What are you bunch of honyockers up to today?"
I guess it just stuck.
